Address Confidentiality Programs (ACP)
Address Confidentiality Programs (ACPs), also known as Safe at Home programs in some states, are designed to protect the locations and/or mailing addresses of victims of crime, such as domestic violence, sexual assault or rape. ACPs provide a mail-forwarding service and serve as legal agent to process program participants’ mail, preventing the disclosure of the their address publicly. The program allows for participants to exercise their right to vote while maintaining their safety.
